The Beal Companies acquired three contiguous brownstone buildings—126, 128 and 130 Beacon Street —from Emerson College in 2003 and created the luxurious 11-unit condominium building known as 128 Beacon Street. Providing the ultimate in luxury living with views of the Charles River and Boston skyline and with the Public Gardens and the Esplanade just steps away, 128 Beacon Street is the pre-eminent residence. Completed in 2006, the building contains units with sizes ranging from 964 to 4,840 square feet with sale prices between $700,000 and $4,100,000. Boston Homes : The Complete Guide reported that in 2006 the City of Boston saw four condominium sales of $4 million or more, and three of the four were at 128 Beacon Street. In 2007, Beal received the Historic Preservation Award from The Boston Preservation Alliance for its redevelopment of 126-130 Beacon Street, at the corner of Berkeley Street in historic Back Bay.
